Code of Conduct
General Code of Conduct
I. Respect: Any Knights of Entropy member displaying disrespect towards another member or guest in a raid group (this also applies to day-to-day interaction) will be given a warning by an Officer, Class Leader or Guild Master. If the disrespect continues on the same raid, the said member will be removed from the raid, and all dkp earned for that session will be stricken. If a KoE member is removed from a raid due to disrespect to leaders or other raid members three times within a 3 month period the offending member will be removed from the guild. The member may re-apply after an additional 3 month period.
II. Greed and Cheating: Knights of Entropy fights as a team and loots as a team. Being greedy and/or cheating is not an option. Any member caught trying to fix DKP bids, guilt tripping other members into not bidding or getting upset over not getting a piece of loot will be given a warning. A second offense will result in a ‘half of current DKP’ penalty. A third offense will result in removal of the offending member from the guild. Note: the penalty for ninja looting is different from other forms of cheating and is discussed below. Note 2: This cheating does not pertain to game exploits, such as fishing up the rare fish while phased in Orgrimar from the Wrathgate quest chain.
III. Ninja Looting: Ninja looting is not tolerated. If an accidental loot was made you are required to involve the Blizzard GM’s to get the item moved. In the event of an infraction you must immediatly notify an Officer, a Class Leader or the KoE GM, you must also send an email to roundtable@knightsofentropy.net with the details of the infraction including the character name of the player who was slighted, the members of your group, the GM which handled your request for assistance (update KoE Leadership after you speak with a GM) and the item in question. Screenshots of the issue are required as proof; that means screenshot the item, what you discuss with the group, any KoE Leadership you speak with, anything that is sent to a Blizzard GM and any conversations held with the Blizzard GM. Note: In the event KoE Leadership is not available at the time of the infraction and email will be sufficient. If it is deemed by the KoE Leadership to not be an accident, the member will be removed from the guild permanently.
IV. Removing Yourself from Guild: Everyone gets angry and frustrated, including the Knights of Entropy leadership. However, removing yourself from the guild to vent anger or to make a statement will not be tolerated (not even as a joke). If you remove yourself from KoE out of anger and then seek re-entrance, you are welcome to re-apply using the same procedure and standards set forth for new recruits (see recruiting guidelines found here). If you are invited back into the guild your previous DKP will be wiped. If you remove yourself from the guild a second time, you will not be welcomed back into KoE.
V. Trolling: Don’t do it. Knights of Entropy members let our actions speak louder than our words. Any member found to be Trolling will be given a warning. A second offense will result in a ‘half of current DKP’ penalty. A third offense will result in removal of the offending member from the guild. Example: Spamming trade or any other channel/forum is trolling, having a conversation or heated debate (in moderation) is not.
VI. Inactivity: Any member who has not been online for a period of 1 month will be demoted to the Vagabond rank, 60 days or more will result in removal from the guild (for guild safety reasons). The only exceptions made will be when we have been notified of a planned absence via the AFK forums. We do not need specifics but an estimated absense time would be appreciated. We understand Real LIfe comes first and respect that. If this is the cause of your absense please contact an officer for an invitation back into the guild if you find yourself guildless after the period of the inactivity. In most of the cases we will consider re-acceptance.
